Akron Beacon Journal, Greetings, I have started a new MeetUp group for Woodworking in NE Ohio. The purpose of the club is to have gatherings where experienced woodworkers share their expertise with beginners who are just getting into or thinking about woodworking. We will also pool resources to buy materials (like Wood direct from mills)... and maybe get some discounts from Woodworking equipments dealers. We just formed a few days ago - waiting to have maybe 10 members before the first MeetUp. The first meeting will be to teach a SketchUp class for Woodworking... where we will cover the basics... assess the needs of the members... show how to design a woodworking shop from scratch... and design the first project... which will be an impressive use of your new SkethUp skills and will be very useful in any shop.
