Houston Chronicle, Price: $799.00, Beautiful Ansonia Royal Bonn Mantel Clock, approximately 100 years old (made about 1900) in excellent working condition. It does have the expected minor crazing, which is minimum, and no cracking is evident in the porcelain and the porcelain has never been repaired. Royal Bonn is the 19th and 20th Century Trade Name used by the renowned craftsman Franz Anton Mehlem, who produced pottery in Bonn, Germany from 1836 to 1931. Considered some of the finest Porcelain ever manufactured. The clock mechanism was made by Ansonia and is an 8 day clock with a chime and original winding key. This is a rare chance to own such a fine piece of History and a beautiful addition for any collector. Each clock has a name written in gold lettering on the back with the Royal Bonn stamp. The clock name has worn, but the Royal Bonn stamp is very clear. The name of the clock is La Nord (which I researched to make sure that is the correct name) Also, you can see the same clock for sale, and their clock's porcelain has been repaired, at KY Imports in Louisville, KY (just google them) for $1250.00 . The price for my clock, which has been in our family for 70+years, is $799.00 , and does not include shipping and handling if sent outside of Houston, TX. Payment is cash and a secondary payment method thru PayPal may be considered. No money orders or checks of any kind, unless written by our same bank, Capital One. Local Houston buyers, we can meet at my bank or yours for an inspection of the clock and payment. Additional photos are available upon request.
